CAIRO: Essam Al-Hadari conceded three goals as Sion succumbed to a 3-1 defeat to Aarau in the first game of the Swiss Super League.
Romanian striker Christian Ianu scored twice in the 12th and 35th minutes to give the home side a first-half lead.
In the second half, Brazilian forward Rogerio made it three, before Mobulu M Futi grabbed a late consolation for Sion.
The game also marked the debut of German manager Uli Stielike as Sion coach.
