CAIRO: Ittihad have announced the signing of Zamalek reserve goalkeeper Wael Zenga on a free transfer.
The 27-year-old is the second goalkeeper to arrive at Ittihad this summer, following the signing of Samir Ashour, whilst Essam Mahmoud left for ENPPI.
Zenga struggled to establish himself with the Zamalek first team, as he usually played second fiddle to Mohamed Abdel Monsef and Abdel Wahed Al-Sayed.
He was signed upon the recommendation of former Zamalek keeper Emad Al-Mandouh, who is the goalkeeping coach at Ittihad.
