CAIRO: Ahly have announced that striker Emad Meteb will be loaned out for one year to Saudi Arabia s Ittihad Jeddah.
The Reds official site stated that Ittihad s $600,000 bid for the 25-year-old was accepted, apart from the player s fee which is reportedly around $900,000.
It is believed that Meteb will sign a one-year contract extension which should tie him with the Cairo club until 2010 before leaving to Jeddah this week.
The Egypt international, who was on the verge of joining Bristol City this summer, was also poised for another English move before the transfer window closure.
However, it seems that Ahly opted for the Ittihad loan offer, despite being ready to sell Meteb permanently.
