CAIRO: Zamalek chairman Mamdouh Abbas revealed that the Cairo club s new satellite channel will be launched in six months.
The bid to launch our own satellite channel is in progress. Our fans deserve a source of media which represents the club, Abbas said in an interview with Zamalek s official site.
Zamalek s announcement comes two weeks after Ahly launched their independent satellite channel, the first ever for an Egyptian club.
However, Ahly s quest to broadcast home games exclusively resulted in recent controversy, which mounted when the Reds league opener with Olympic was not broadcasted on TV.
