CAIRO: Mostafa Gaafar has threatened to boycott Zamalek s trip to Abidjan, ahead of their CAF Champions League clash against ASEC on Sunday, after being receiving a hefty fine.

I was deducted LE60,000, Gaafar told FilGoal.com.

The 27-year old striker has been fined for press statements and also for skipping four training sessions last season.

I talked to the technical staff. It is unacceptable and I refuse to travel to Abidjan if the matter isn t solved, added the Whites striker.

Meanwhile assistant coach Tarek Yehia said he has made an appeal to reduce the fine as the player has shown a good level of discipline.

We made our request to the board but then I was shocked by his attitude and so we retrieved our demands and dropped him from the squad, said Yehia.

Zamalek will travel to Abidjan on Wednesday to face ASEC Abidjan in day 4 of the CAF Champions League group stage.
