CAIRO: Junior Agogo revealed his amazement by the amount of affection shown by football fans towards the game in Egypt.
The supporters affection for football is amazing, the Ghana striker, who joined Zamalek from Nottingham Forrest in the summer, told KickOffGhana.com.
“At times it feels like half the people in Egypt support Zamalek. It has been a bit of a culture shock for me but I am coping well. I have my own place now and am getting used to city and life by the day.
Agogo scored once for the Whites since his move, but the muscular forward is looking forward to find the net in Sunday s Cairo derby.
It will be the third time I will be playing against Ahly so I hope I score against them this time, he added.
On a bigger scale though, we need the points to boost our own chances of qualifying, so it’s a huge game for us.
Zamalek are in a must-win situation ahead of the CAF Champions League clash with their arch rivals, who are on the verge of securing a semi-finals berth.
