CAIRO: Ahly are on brink of luring Enyimba ace Stephen Worgu in January, Reds marketing manager Adli Al-Qaeyi said.
Negotiation with Enyimba is at advanced stage, but we haven’t agreed on the terms yet, Al-Qaeyi told FilGoal.com.
We have an agreement in principle with the club. The player has also welcomed the move.
Worgu has been admittedly linked with moves to Hilal of Sudan and Mamelodi Sundowns, in addition to the interest from Ahly.
The 19-year-old striker is current top scorer in the CAF Champions League with a massive 13 goals.
Worgu s arrival in January means that Gilberto, Flavio Amado or Anis Boujelbene will make way. However, the latter is more likely to get the axe.
