Goalkeeper Sherif Ekrami said that he will not play for Ankaragucu again after the Turkish outfit terminated his contract.
The former Ahly goalie was loaned out to Ankara from Feyenoord at the start of the season, but he was soon released due to financial disagreements with the club.
I m glad that Ankara released me, I was planning to leave the club anyway, Ekrami told FilGoal.com on Tuesday.
They did not fulfill mine or Feyenoord s financial dues, he added.
Ekrami refused to comment on the possibility of rejoining Ahly, adding that his next move might be getting back to Feyenoord or joining a Bundesliga club.
When I talk about Ahly I always get misunderstood, said Ekrami.
If I say it s my favorite club people say I m trying to force my way back, if I say I want to stay in Europe others think I lost my loyalty towards Ahly, he added.
