CAIRO: Egypt Striker Amr Zaki said it would be illogical if the Pharaohs couldn’t qualify to the 2010 World Cup after claiming the African Cup of Nations twice on the trot.

The six-time African Champions haven t made it to the elite competition since 1990. Nonetheless, many believe they are going to qualify for the forthcoming World Cup.

The 25-year-old, who excelled with Wigan Athletic this season, also thinks Egypt s chances are quite substantial.

Thinking any differently would be kind of madness after winning the Africa Cup of Nations twice in a row, The premier league current top scorer told FIFA.com.

There is no doubt that we are the best African team at this stage. And we as players have the confidence to make it all the way to South Africa.

Unlike Egypt coach Hassan Shehata, Zaki fears no teams in the upcoming qualifiers.

I fear no-one. It should be the other way round; other teams should be afraid of playing against us, The scoring sensation said.
