ALEXANDRIA: Ittihad Alexandria signed Mohamed “Geddo Nagui on a one-year extension to his contract that will keep him at the club until 2012.
Geddo is targeted by several Egyptian top-flight sides and the coastal club wanted him to settle down, according to Ittihad Chairman Mohamed Mosselhi.
Mosselhi told FilGoal.com that Geddo will earn LE 500,000 in the additional year of his contract.
Effective immediately, the new contract grants the veteran midfielder an LE 100,000 increase, raising his annual salary to LE 250,000.
Meanwhile, Ittihad coach Taha Basri denied starting talks with any players ahead of January s transfer window.
I keep an eye on some second-division players, but I am not holding any talks at the moment, he said.
