CAIRO: Zamalek goal keeper Mohamed Abdel-Monsef denied rumors of a personal spat with the club s current first choice keeper Abdel-Wahed Al-Sayed.

After starting the season as Zamalek s number one keeper, Abdel-Monsef lost his place to Al-Sayed after a bad performance against ASEC Mimosas in the CAF Champions League.

There are no rows of whatsoever between me and Sayed, Abdel-Monsef told FilGoal.com on Thursday.

When I play I m fully focused on keeping a clean sheet, and when I m on the bench I m fully focused on helping Sayed, added the young goalkeeper.

Meanwhile, the former Dina farms goalie said he isn’t worried after losing his national team spot during the recent Djibouti game.

I knew that if I was called I d have been second string to Essam Al-Hadari anyway. I d rather stay at home than being a benchwarmer, added Abdel-Monsef.
