Judging by the design house’s catwalk, ethnic bangles, with an Asian twist to the traditional plain ones, are a big hit this season. Consider replacing your simple necklaces with bold chokers by Balenciaga and the big statement necklaces that Lanvin can’t seem to get enough of.
Gems and crystals are loved by designers the likes of Jimmy Choo, Missoni and Tiffany & Co. Give it a try; they don’t only look great, they also feel great. It has been proven that crystals have incredible healing powers on both, the physical and the psychological levels.
As for shoes, opt for elegant knee-length boots. Structured, geometric shaped bags made a statement on Versace’s catwalk last fall, but this year they switched to simpler designs with bolder, brighter colors.
Silver is also one of the “in colors this season, and Yves Saint Laurent’s square silver bags are loved by fashionistas everywhere.
Texture is everywhere. Bottega Veneta’s textured totes in grays and blacks are this season’s favorite. The classic chain handbags – mainly associated with Chanel – are also making a comeback and Marni’s are quiet popular as well.
For a night out, opt for embellished, patent and satin clutches-elegant, sophisticated and funky – they’ve been spotted at Fendi, Lanvin and Missoni showrooms. And of course, big black totes are a classic and they’re still hot this fall.
Also, it’s all about chains, chains and more chains. Whether they’re dangling from your handbag, dancing around your neck or embellishing your wrist, Alexander Wang’s chains are big this season.
Lastly, instead of the traditional black, brown and gray tights, be daring and a bright hue of red, orange or purple – as well as lace. They add flair and style to your look.
