Docu' and short film Caravan kicks off

Throughout the past three years the Caravan screened more than 300 European and Arab films including features, long and short, documentaries and short narratives. The Caravan tours more than 16 European and Arab cities inviting renowned filmmakers, holding question and answer sessions, panels, open discussions and press conferences in addition to the special programs and tributes. The last film Caravan of 2008 will screen a number of award-winning short and full-length documentary features as well as short narratives. Among the highlights are “Memory Books, a chronicle of dying AIDS mothers in Uganda; “El Ejido: The Law of Profit; a stark portrait of the exploitation of immigrant farmers in the South of Spain; and “Shake That Devil Off, a documentary that charts the bravery of a Baptist church members in confronting Hurricane Katrina and providing aid to the victims.
