Egypt move one place up in FIFA ranking

CAIRO: Egypt made slight progress in the monthly FIFA ranking for national teams, moving to 21st place.

Egypt are yet to make it to the top 20 in 2008, as the 21st spot represents a year-high for the African champions.

The Pharaohs lead the way for Arab team, with their closest rivals Morocco lying 43rd. However, Egypt comes second continentally as Cameroon stand at the 14th position. .

European champions Spain remained top, while runners-up Germany took over in second place from world champions Italy.
