CAIRO: Emad Meteb quelled rumors surrounding his future with Ittihad Jeddah by taking part in their 1-0 friendly victory over Watani on Saturday.
The Egypt striker, who joined Ittihad from Ahly on a season-long loan, was introduced as a second-half substitute.
Striker Talal Al-Meshal scored what proved to be the winner in the 30th minute.
Earlier this month, Meteb arrived in Cairo to watch Ahly s CAF Champions League final first-leg against Cameroon s Cotonsport.
But an alleged dispute between him and Ittihad board arouse after he returned to Jeddah later than scheduled.
The 25-year-old said he was trying to sort out a personal problem after being expelled from the university he attends in Cairo.
But widespread Saudi reports suggested that Meteb intended to unilaterally terminate his Ittihad loan deal in order to move to the English Premier League, with Everton being mooted as potential suitor.
But it now seems that he resolved any misunderstanding that might have happened between him and Saudi giants Ittihad.
Meteb is the Saudi League s joint top scorer with five goals. Teammates Hicham Aboucherouane and Mohamed Noor notched the same number of goals.
