Egyptian wife electrocutes husband: police

CAIRO: An Egyptian women who suspected her husband was unfaithful electrocuted him with a cable in his sleep and stabbed him to death, a police official said on Monday.

The woman, 23-year-old Rasha Mohamed Rajab from the city of Port Said, told police after her arrest that her husband, Osama Musad, 32, was always looking at women and had relations with them, the official said.

After killing him, she gathered money in a purse and threw it from a window and then stabbed herself twice. She called an ambulance to report her husband had been killed by two thieves who also attacked her, the official said.

She told police she was insane at the time. -AFP
