CAIRO: Olympic have announced the sacking of coach Mosheer Osman, to be replaced by Mohamed Helmi.
Osman was relieved of his duty due to poor results, which left the newly-promoted side second from bottom with 11 points from 12 league games.
The former Eritrea coach led the Alexandrian outfit to a famous victory over Zamalek last month, beating the Cairo giants 3-1 at home. But that was not enough for the club board.
Helmi, who left his post as Zamalek assistant coach in the summer, is expected to sign a contract with Olympic on Wednesday.
