CAIRO: Tersana are eager to sign a loan-deal with Ahly youth team defender Ahmed Attwa in the winter break, new coach Mohamed Omar said.

We have officially approached Ahly for Attwa as we are looking to intensify the squad in January, Omar told FilGoal.com.

Our situation is difficult and we have to buy more players to enhance our league position.

Attwa has been subject to controversy earlier this season, when he signed for Zamalek, claiming he had no professional contract with Ahly.

However, the Reds refused to let go the 21-year-old, who eventually failed to seal a move to Zamalek.

Meanwhile, Omar denied that Tersana are after former playmaker Amr “Samaka Fathi, who plays for Kazma of Kuwait.

Tersana are rock bottom of the league with 10 points from 11 games, as they face Arab Contractors on Nov. 29.
