Ever stumbled upon a website that excited or intrigued you? Below are a couple of my favorites, proving that there’s more to be experienced on the internet than Facebook and Wikipedia.
The first is www.yousendit.com, which allows you to send large files of up to 100 MB from a free personal account. Simply upload a file onto the site, and the submitted email will receive a link from which to download the file. With plug-ins downloaded from yousendit, iPhoto and Adobe Acrobat users can send files directly from the applications.
Another is www.download.com, a one-stop shop for software downloads, anti-virus software, games and so on, much of it for no cost at all. It also provides reviews of products, as well as separate editor and user ratings of software.
At http://music.download.com, you will find thousands of free songs to download legally.
