CAIRO: Ittihad goalkeeper Al-Hani Soliman will be sidelined for two weeks with a knee injury.
Team doctor Amr Al-Ashlam told FilGoal.com that the 24-year-old twisted his knee during the Alexandrians’ goalless draw with Asyut Petroleum on Saturday.
He is now set to miss the upcoming league games against Police Union and Ghazl Mahalla.
Soliman established himself as first-choice keeper for Taha Basri s side, which helped him win a rare call-up to the Egypt national team in a World Cup qualifier last September.
The promising goalkeeper has been linked with African champions Ahly earlier this year, following the departure of Essam Al-Hadari to Sion.
