CAIRO: Sion goalkeeper Essam Al-Hadari admitted that Ismaili are interested in signing him during the January transfer window.
Ismaili opened talks with me over a possible move, the Egypt goalkeeper told FilGoal.com on Saturday.
They also tabled an official bid but Sion are yet to respond because they are having their winter vacation.
Al-Hadari refused to disclose whether he was interested in ending his European adventure and joining Ismaili.
Ismaili are a big club, but Sion will have the last word on my future, he added.
Al-Hadari completed his deal with Sion nearly a year ago without the consent of his then club Ahly, when he apparently invoked the infamous article 17 of FIFA regulations.
The international keeper was heavily vilified after sealing the notorious move, which cost him his vast popularity among Ahly s fans.
After failing to settle down, A-Hadari announced that he would like to move away from Sion, insinuating that joining the club was an unwise decision.
The 35-year-old also said he wishes he could rejoin Ahly, but he hadn’t anything towards such a move.
