CAIRO: Petrojet coach Mokhtar Mokhtar said that his team have a very good chance of winning this year s Egyptian Cup, especially after Ahly s exit from the competition.
The Red Devils were eliminated from the last 16 round, following the team s 1-0 defeat at the hands of Harras Hodoud on Wednesday.
Ahly were top candidates to win the cup, and their elimination puts us one step closer to winning a title this season, Mokhtar told FilGoal.com.
The league leaders were scheduled to meet Gaish in the competition s last 16 round on Thursday night, and the winner will face Mansoura, who beat Bani Obeid on Wednesday.
We prepared for the Gaish game with three useful friendlies and we re in a good shape now, added Mokhtar.
Mokhtar considered that all conditions are suitable for Petrojet to secure their first ever domestic title by winning the Egyptian Cup.
