ISMAILIYA: Without revealing his destination, Ismaili striker Mohamed Fadl confirmed that he will be leaving the club when his contract expires at the end of the current season.
The former Ahly man said earlier that he wasn’t happy with the terms offered by Ismaili to extend his stay at the club.
I already agreed on moving to another club and will be leaving Ismaili at the end of the season, Fadl told FilGoal.com.
I won’t reveal the club’s name until everything is official.
The last couple of weeks witnessed intensive negotiations between Zamalek and the Dervishes regarding the purchase of the player, who confirmed that he won’t join the White Knights.
I know Zamalek wanted me, but I assure that the Cairo club will not be my next destination, he said.
The Egyptian international expressed his gratitude to the Ismaili board, adding that he thought carefully before taking the decision to leave.
“I want to thank the Ismaili board for their attempts to keep me. But the last word is mine and I hope I’m not hurting anyone with my decision, concluded the 29-year-old.
