CAIRO: Olympic president Ahmed Al-Sweisi said that Ahly are interested in buying club defender Ateya Al-Belqasi during the ongoing transfer window.
“A number of intermediate agents contacted the club about the possibility of luring Al-Belqasi to Ahly, Al-Sweisi told FilGoal.com.
From his side, the 25-year-old player said that he’d be honored with a move to Ahly, adding that is yet be contacted by the Red Devils’ officials.
“Any player would love to join Ahly, and I hope I can seal the move in the near future, Al-Belqasi said.
The centre-back kicked off his career at Ghazl Domiat before playing for Baladeya and Olympic.From his side, Ahly marketing director Adli Al-Qaeyi refused to comment on Olympic president’s statements.
“Ahly are undergoing negotiations to add a number of players in January, but I will not reveal any names until talks become official, Al-Qaeyi told FilGoal.com.
