CAIRO: Egypt full-back Ahmed Al-Mohammadi confirmed that Blackburn Rovers made a £1.5 million bid to take him on loan him from ENPPI until the end of the season.
According to the 21-year-old, a Rovers delegation is present in Cairo to wrap up the deal with ENPPI during the upcoming few days.
My move to Blackburn should be finalized soon. I will go on loan for six months, Al-Mohammadi said after ENPPI s 3-1 cup semi-final win over Petrojet on Monday.
Blackburn officials watched the game today and are expected to conclude the deal soon. ENPPI will receive £1.5 million.
Al-Mohammadi reaffirmed recent English reports suggesting his imminent switch to Ewood Park, to become the fourth Egyptian in the Premiership this term.
The versatile winger, who capped a fine performance against Petrojet with a deft assist, could miss the Egyptian Cup final if he sealed the move.
