CAIRO: Zamalek midfielder Mohamed Aboul-Ella stated that Zamalek’s initial offer to prolong his stay at the club is unacceptable.
Aboul-Ella, whose contract at Zamalek will expire by the end of the season, was offered L.E. 800,000 a season to stay at the Cairo club.
“Newcomers are offered L.E. 900,000 per season, so how can I accept less than that? Aboul-Ella told FilGoal.com.
“Talks are still going on, but what I can confirm for now is that I rejected their initial offer.
The 29-year-old has been an integral part of Zamalek’s team since making his way up the club’s youth ranks in 1997 under the manager of Dutch coach Ruud Kroll.
