CAIRO: Wigan Athletic striker Amr Zaki confirmed that Zamalek will benefit from Junior Agogo’s presence at the club.

Since joining Zamalek in the summer from Nottingham Forest, the Ghana striker has struggled to live up to the hype which accompanied his transfer to the Cairo club.

“Despite all the problems he’s been going through since signing for Zamalek, I still believe that Agogo is a very good striker, Zaki told Ghanasoccer.net.

“I’m sure that if Agogo stays at Zamalek he will help in improving the club, added Zaki, who jokingly imitated Agogo’s goal celebration at a press conference.

Agogo scored only three goals for Zamalek so far, as the 29-year-old’s progress with the club was hindered by continuous absence from the first team due to various reasons.

Zaki and Agogo are likely to clash on Wednesday, when Egypt faces Ghana in an international friendly in Cairo.
