CAIRO: Essam Al-Hadari s Sion eased their relegation fears with a late 2-1 victory over Vaduz in the Swiss Super League on Sunday.
Colombian midfielder Alvaro Dominguez fired Sion in front one minute before the break.
Brazilian striker Gaspar leveled the score 10 minutes after the restart but Congolese frontman Mobulu M Futi gave Sion a precious win in stoppage time.
Egypt keeper Al-Hadari played the full game and produced some fine saves to deny Vaduz on several occasions.
Sion moved into seventh place of the 10-team league table with 20 points, two above the relegation zone.
Al-Hadari, who failed in his attempt to join Ismaili last month, recently said he was confident Sion would retain their top-flight status despite their poor results.
