CAIRO: Saudi Arabia’s Ittihad qualified for the Crown Prince Cup quarter-finals on Sunday after condemning Raed to a 3-1 loss on Sunday.
Raed’s Salah Abdel-Hamid scored an early opener on seven minutes.
But 18 minutes later, Hamad Al-Montashari inadvertently brought the score level when his right-flank cross was diverted by Raed defender Bassem Al-Sherif into his own net.
Mohamed Nour put the Jeddah-based side ahead on 72 minutes, before Renato hit the third goal eight minutes later.
Egyptian striker Emad Meteb, who played the whole 90 minutes, squandered four clear-cut chances throughout the game.
The loaned front-man wasted three golden chances in the first half, and one more after the restart.
