CAIRO: A 31-year-old Emirati millionaire allegedly murdered an Egyptian woman and cut her up into eight pieces before fleeing the country to Dubai on Friday, Egyptian investigators told El-Masry El-Youm newspaper.
Police was notified of the crime when a middle-aged garbage collector, Nasr Morsy Mohamed, and the security guard of a building nearby discovered the victim’s remains in the Heliopolis building’s garbage collection facility.
General Farouk Lasheen, director of investigations in Cairo, said that the authorities found one left leg, a severed head, and two clothed arms. Police also pin pointed several pieces of evidence including a pair of blood-stained sneakers, two sharp knives, a torn blouse, and yellow gloves.
Security guards working at the building said that the suspect, Mahmoud Ibrahim El-Siksik, has had intimate relations with the victim for four years. According to accounts by security guards at the building, Siksik was notorious for his addiction to alcohol and drugs.
When authorities entered El-Siksik’s apartment, they discovered the rest of victim’s body along with an identification card, confirming that she is 25-year-old Faten Abdel-Rahman, a resident of Ain Shams.
The victim’s brother, Mohamed Abdel Rahman, positively identified his sister’s body but a DNA analysis will also be conducted to confirm her identity. The victim’s brother told Al-Masry Al-Youm that Faten has been missing for about four years.
With evidence mounting against El-Siksik, Interpol has submitted a request to Dubai’s authorities for his arrest.
