CAIRO: Giza police have issued an arrest warrant for a woman and a baker who allegedly stabbed two people, authorities told Al-Masry Al-Youm Friday.
According to reports from the Giza authorities, both of the accused have confessed to the crime and will be taken into custody by local authorities.
The woman reportedly stabbed her stepfather during an altercation that turned physical.
Authorities were alerted when General Ahmed Abdel Aal received a complaint that the stepfather’s body was found in the apartment. An autopsy confirmed that the man was 50 years old.
According to an account from his wife, the stepfather used to sexually molest his stepdaughter, the female suspect.
Tensions between the stepfather and the stepdaughter built up until the day of the murder. They got into a fight and, after several blows, the angry stepdaughter used a knife to bring his life to bloody end.
This was one of only two victims in Giza this week. In another murder case, a 40-year-old baker reportedly killed his own brother, Shaaban Abu Kamdan.
Reports say that the two fought over who would inherit the apartment. The quarrel turned violent when the baker took out his knife, lunged toward Abu Kamdan, and stabbed him.
Investigations are ongoing.
