CAIRO: Education sector administrators started the first of a three-day protest on Sunday in Daqahleya governorate.
Sunday s two-hour protest began at 9 am and ended at 11 am.
The protest is also scheduled for 9 am Monday but will last until noon, and on Tuesday, it will last until 2 pm.
Salah Abou Al-Ainien, chairman of the Syndicate of Education Sector Administrators, said in a statement that the syndicate is also planning a bigger protest on Tuesday in front of the Education Administration in Al-Mansoura, the largest city in Daqahleya.
Last Saturday, the education sector administrators held a protest in front of the education sector administration building in Giza.
The protestors demanded better government housing facilities for the education administrators, along with demands for a 50 percent pay increase which was approved by the People s Assembly as part of the amended teachers’ law in 2007.
