CAIRO: Ahmed Hassan is set to miss Ahly s league clash with Telecom Egypt on Thursday as he is still struggling with an ankle problem, the Red Devils said on Monday.
The Egypt skipper sustained the injury in last week s 1-1 draw with Zambia in the World Cup qualifiers, where he was forced to play through pain for the last quarter of the game.
Ahly s official site stated that the 32-year-old will resume full training next week though, in order to be fit for this month s CAF Champions League tie with Kano Pillars.
Meanwhile, Egypt winger Barakat has recovered from a slight calf injury sustained in the recent 1-0 win at Tanzania s Young African s at the weekend.
