CAIRO: Ahmed Eid Abdel-Malek scored twice as Harras Hodoud beat El Gawafel Sportives de Gafsa of Tunisia 3-0 in the African Confederation Cup last 32 round first-leg.
In the tie which was held in Alexandria, Abdel-Malek hit the net on four minuets before Abdel-Salam Nagah added a second in the 21st minute.
Abdel-Malek wrapped up the Egyptian side s win with a third on 63 minutes.
The Egyptian Cup holders controlled possession throughout most of the game, and Abdel-Malek opened the score line after capitalizing on a rebound from Ahmed Abdel-Ghani s shot.
Nagah made it two for Tarek Al-Ashri s men after being released thanks to a through ball from Mohamed Mekki.
Abdel-Malek scored his personal second after rounding two Gafsa defenders before placing his shot past the visitors keeper.
