CAIRO: Ahly will be facing Scottish champions Glasgow Celtic in the club s first game of the Wembley Cup, according to the Red Devils official website.
The six-time African champions will be taking part in the friendly tournament, which will be held in London at the New Wembley stadium between July 24 and 26.
After meeting Celtic, Ahly will face Spanish giants Barcelona in the club s final Wembley Cup clash.
The two teams previously met in a friendly in 2004, which was part of Ahly s centennial celebrations.
The Egyptian league champions will receive a sum of ?100,000 plus traveling expenses for playing in the pre-season tournament.
A delegate headed by club president Hassan Hamdi will be attending a press conference in London on May 6, where further Wembley Cup details will be revealed.
