CAIRO: An official from Egypt’s ruling National Democratic Party who was found dead in party offices was killed by his assistant, police said on Saturday.
Ikram Ahmed Abdel Latif, 25, stabbed the NDP’s Mohamed Zaki Mohamed Moussa to death after Moussa failed to pay him his monthly salary of LE 350 ($62 dollars), police said.
Abdel Latif confessed after his fingerprints were found on the knife.
Moussa, who was the NDP’s administrative director for the affluent Cairo suburb of Sixth of October City, was found dead Wednesday evening with 10 stab wounds to his body. -AFP
