CAIRO: Mohamed Amer has been hired as Arab Contractors new coach, just few hours after Mohamed Radwan was officially sacked.

The club board announced that Mohsen Al-Refae and Mohamed Ouda were appointed as Amer s assistants.

Amer recently quit his post as Asyut Petroleum coach after he helped the club maintain their Egyptian Premier League spot.

The decision to sack Radwan was taken by Contractors chairman Ibrahim Mehleb after the the club’s final Egyptian Premier League game against Harras Hodoud.

Radwan took over Contractors in May 2008, where he helped the club avoid relegation last season after the sacking of former coach Alaa Nabil.

Contractors finished the current season in 10th place with 37 points.
