CAIRO: Zamalek midfielder Mahmoud Samir is eager to move on, but conceded that the Cairo club is reluctant to let him go.
The 23-year-old revealed that ENPPI have officially made a bid for him, but his club s asking price was far from reasonable.
I told Zamalek officials that I want to join ENPPI, but they want $1 million to let me go and that’s a huge price, Samir told FilGoal.com.
It seems that Zamalek don’t want to lose the amount of money they paid for my services last year.
Zamalek brought in Samir, along with Alaa Kamal, last season for an undisclosed fee, which is most probably less than their asking price for the former.
The duo spent most of the season in the fringes though, despite the fact that Zamalek hired three different managers over the past 12 months.
