CAIRO: Ismaili are on the brink of reappointing Mark Wotte as head coach, following the departure of Brazilian boss Ricardo Ferreira at the end of last season.
The Dutch tactician took charge of the Dervishes few years ago, but he abruptly ended his tenure due to personal issues.
German coach Theo Buecker, who had two separate spells at the coastal side, was also nominated for the hot seat, but Ismaili s board preferred to reinstate Wotte.
The 48-year-old is set to arrive in Ismailia within the next few days for further negotiations with Ismaili, after he initially agreed to lead the team next season.
