CAIRO: Ahly assistant coach Hossam Al-Badri stressed that he would jump at a chance to become the club s first team coach.
Al-Badri has been in charge of the team since the departure of Manuel Jose at the end of the past season.
While denying that he is set to be announced as new coach, Al-Badri confirmed that he would be honoured if Ahly choose him as Jose s successor.
Coaching Ahly would be dream come true for me or anyone else, the former Ahly defender told Al-Hayat TV.
I will be under the club s disposal if they decide to offer me the vacant position.
The Red Devils earlier agreed with Portuguese coach Nelo Vingada to replace Jose before the former Zamalek tactician backtracked on the deal.
Al-Badri, who has been Jose s assistant since 2004, added that Ahly s new coach will be revealed within the next two days.
