CAIRO: Central defender Amir Azmi revealed on Sunday that he terminated his contract with Zamalek by mutual consent.

The club s treatment was unbearable so I decided to leave, Azmi told FilGoal.com.

It is the second successive season for the 26-year-old to depart Zamalek after few months of joining them.

Azmi left the Cairo giants last summer without playing a single match, citing administrative problems.

He incurred the wrath of Zamalek on Saturday when he said they treated him like a dog .

The new chairman Mamdouh Abbas did not want me to remain at the club because my father opposed him in the elections, Azmi added.

I m confident that I will receive good offers from inside and outside Egypt although the new season is about to start.

Azmi had spells in Europe with Greece s PAOK Saloniki, Turkey s Hacettepe Spor and Cypriot duo Anorthosis Famagusta and AEK Larnaca.
