CAIRO: Middlesbrough decided to hold striker Ahmed “Mido Hossam’s salary until he joins the club s pre-season training camp.

The towering striker was sanctioned earlier this month for skiving off the camp, and was set to reunite with his Boro teammates afterwards.

But he hasn t returned to the Riverside yet, and Middlesbrough took another disciplinary action against him.

It s very simple, he has to get himself back and into training with us. Nobody who isn t in training will be paid by the club, head coach Gareth Southgate was quoted as saying by Gazette Live.

On the other hand, Mido called for his image rights payments, after being handed a two-week fine.

According to News of the World, the former Zamalek prodigy may not play for Middlesbrough again after his recent punishments.

Beforehand, Mido revealed his intent to seal a move to a Premiership club this summer, after Middlesbrough were relegated to the Championship.
