MIDDLESBROUGH: Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate admits Egypt striker Mido and Turkey forward Tuncay Sanli are certain to leave the Championship club within weeks.

Both are keen to move on after Middlesbrough s relegation from the Premier League last season and were left out of Wednesday s 5-0 friendly win at Dumbarton.

Mido angered Southgate by returning late to pre-season training and was fined several weeks wages before finally arriving at the Riverside Stadium on Monday.

Southgate knows there is little chance he will be able to persuade either player to stay and told the Northern Echo: We know that Mido would like to move on in an ideal world – as would Tuncay – and I m sure those deals will happen. -AFP
