CAIRO: Zamalek board member Sabri Serag said that the club haven’t received any new offers for striker Amr Zaki.
Sources close to Zaki had said earlier that Premiership club Portsmouth made an official approach to sign the 26-year-old. Serag denied such suggestion.
No offers were made for Zaki. Not from Portsmouth or any other side, Serag told FilGoal.com.
Portsmouth are looking to buy new strikers, especially after the sale of Peter Crouch to Tottenham Hotspur.
New Pompey owner and chairman Soliman Al-Fahim is reportedly personally interested in luring the Egyptian international.
Zaki has earlier said that he would stay with Zamalek next season unless he receives a good offer from a Spanish or English club.
The ex-ENPPI man spent last season with Wigan Athletic, where he scored 10 goals for the Latics.
