CAIRO: Ismaili will not be paying players monthly wages, director Ihab Galal said.
Like any other professional club, Ismaili players used to get paid their contract s worth in addition to monthly salaries and annual bonuses.
Galal told FilGoal.com that from now on, every new contract will include an article banning monthly salaries, adding that players will only be receiving their contracts worth.
Each player will receive 25 percent of his contract s worth once he signs a new deal. The remainder of the dues will be paid in installments or by the end of each season, Galal said.
Galal added that the decision was approved by the club board, especially after the nationwide rise in players contracts.
Players with humble contracts will still receive their monthly salaries.
In the meantime, the coastal club have completed the signing of Tunisian Mohamed Selliti from FC Stade Tunisien for an undisclosed fee.
Selliti has signed a three-year contract with the Dervishes.
