Egypt reports nine new H1N1 cases

CAIRO: Health Ministry official Mohamed Attah confirmed the discovery of nine cases of swine flu on Saturday, bringing the total number of cases in Egypt to 274.

Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Preventive Measures Amr Kandil said that among the cases, eight are Egyptian, five of whom recently returned from Saudi Arabia.

Kandil said that the UK accounts for the highest cases detected in foreigners at 62, followed by 41 cases from the US.

He added that 187 of the cases have fully recovered, only one has died, and the remaining 86 are receiving treatment and are in stable condition.
