CAIRO: Zamalek striker Amr Zaki is considering undergoing medical examinations to find out the causes of his persistent hamstring problem, his personal adviser said on Sunday.

This injury is annoying. He sustained it more than once last season, Mohamed Saied told reporters.

The combative striker was stretchered off during the second half of Zamalek s 3-1 victory over ENPPI in the Egyptian Premier League opener.

He was making his first competitive appearance with the Cairo giants after ending a loan spell with English side Wigan Athletic.

Zaki will probably undergo scans to make sure that everything is fine, Saied added.

The Bulldozer is highly unlikely to take part in Egypt s friendly game against Guinea on Wednesday.

However, he should be fit to play against Petrojet in Zamalek s second league game on Aug. 20.
