CAIRO: Egypt narrowly lost 28-29 to Germany on Tuesday in a dramatic Junior World Cup match.
The visitors got the upper hand in the first period, which ended 13-11, before registering a hard-fought win over the Pharaohs.
Egypt, who secured qualification for next round before the game, put in a praiseworthy performance.
Now the Pharaohs are in Group A second place. A draw would have been enough for the Egyptians to maintain leadership.
