CAIRO: Ahly said that goalkeeper Ramzi Saleh is training normally with the first team, insisting that the Palestinian is not suffering from a permanent injury.

Saleh, who finished last term as Ahly s number one, has been struggling with a knee injury that kept him out of the pre-season campaign.

However, Ahly chief medic Ihab Ali stated that the 29-year-old has now recovered from injury, rebuffing the notion of a troublesome knee.

Claims that Ramzi has a permanent knee problem are based on nothing, I don’t know who is behind these lies, Ali told Ahly s official site.

He had a swelling around the knee cap and now he has recovered and is training normally with the first team.

Ramzi is available for selection, but only the technical staff decides whether he plays or not.
