CAIRO: Mobinil s subscribers received a message from the network on their mobile phones saying Naguib Sawiris, the network chairman, is supporting Hussein Sabour s bid for presidency in the Shooting Club s board elections taking place Friday.
The message also said Sawiris is giving his support to Sabour s electoral list with special support to his friends Mohsen Tantawy and Seif Zaher in the elections that will take place at the club in Dokki.
Sabour, who is hoping for a third consecutive rein at the club, is competing against Sherif Gabr and Tareq Fathallah.
A representative from Mobinil’s media department told Daily News Egypt that this is a personal initiative from Sawiris not from the company.
Sabour s list comprises Khaled Abdel Aziz, Mohsen Tantawi, Seif Zaher, Mohamed Taha, Mohamed Hamam and Laila Basiouni.
Other candidates for board membership include Wael Salah El Din, Ahmed Shaker, Tarek El-Shanawany, Mohamed Aboul Kheir, Mohamed El Oqda, Nehad Amer, Donia Darder and Mohamed Moratgey.
